Excursion Programm

Day 1: Chalkida - Kapsia Cave-Vytina-Lagadia-Olympia

Early in the morning we depart for a unique weekend full of fun, liveliness, and tour in Patras, mountainous Arcadia and Ancient Olympia. First destination is Kapsia Cave (individual expenses), after stopping for the necessary morning coffee in Spathovouni. One of the remarkable caves of the Greek territory with rich stalagmite decoration with rare colors. We continue our route to Vytina, the jewel of mountainous Arcadia. The most popular village of Peloponnese with many attractions such as Agios Tryfonas in the central square and the road of love. Stay for lunch. Next destination is Lagadia (the hanging village of Peloponnese), where it seems to hang over the wild gorge formed by the river of Thoas. Finally, arrival in Olympia and arrangement at the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Ancient Olympia - Patras (Carnival)

Departure after breakfast for the archaeological site of Olympia (individual expenses) for a historical journey back in time, to the land where the most important games of ancient Greece, the Olympic Games, were born. We continue to Patras with a free program and stay to attend the famous Patras carnival with a history of over 190 years. Thousands of costumed dancers pour into the streets of the city and sway to Samba rhythms with the fun culminating in the parade of hundreds of impressive floats. Return to the hotel and overnight.

Day 3: Tripoli (optional) - Nafplio - Chalkida

After breakfast and after packing our things, our day will start with an optional excursion to Tripoli, the largest city and capital of Arcadia, with its open, lively squares and neoclassical buildings adding touches of architectural grandeur. (Registration to the group escort). We continue to Nafplio, the first capital of Greece with the aeneutic fortress that dominates the city, known as the place of murder of Ioannis Kapodistrias. Free program for getting to know the city and staying for food. In the afternoon we take the way back, having in our luggage the best experiences.
