Syros

1 DAY PIRAEUS-SYROS

​

We depart at 05:30 in the morning from Chalkida for Piraeus where we will board the ship to the picturesque port of Archontissa in the Cyclades. Our first stop is Syros Town where we will have free time for coffee. Then we will head to the hotel in GALISSA, one of the most beautiful resorts on the island, we will settle in and we will have a free afternoon for swimming. In GALISSA, about fifteen minutes away from the coast, you will find a truly beautiful and picturesque chapel built among the rocks. Its history is even more interesting as behind it lies a fisherman and a vow. It is a small and white chapel that did not need to be built with a floor and ceiling. It is literally inside the rock and once you arrive you will only see two walls on the right and left. Anyone who wishes can walk there and see it up close!!! In the evening we will visit (Optional walk) Kini (individual expenses) for a romantic walk on the sea and cocktails in one of the bars. Overnight stay. .

 

2 DAYS AZOLIMNO -ANO SYROS -SYROS

 

After breakfast, we will depart for Azolimno, we will have free time to swim and have lunch in traditional taverns next to the sea and then we will return to the hotel for rest. In the afternoon we will visit Ano Chora or ANO SYROS, built amphitheatrically on the hill of San Tzortzis with the homonymous Catholic Metropolis of AGIOS GEORGE. We will see the buildings of the Metropolis, the historical archive, the Catholic monasteries of the Jesuits and the Capuchins, the "square" and the Folklore Museum, the Orthodox Church of the Resurrection with the blue dome dominating high on the hill, with a stunning view of the city and the sea, We will visit the Markos Vamvakaris Museum. We will admire the famous City Hall, the Municipal Theater "APOLLON", the church of Agios Nikolaos, one of the largest in our country, we will visit the wonderful church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, where there is the icon of the Virgin Mary, a work of Dominicos Theotokopoulos "El Greco". Here we will have free time to enjoy our walk.. Then we will go to Syros for our evening walk (individual expenses food entertainment) Overnight.

 

3 DAYS SYROS-PIRAEUS

 

After completing our breakfast and checking out we will head to Syros where we will have free time until we board the boat for our return to Piraeus and then to Chalkida with beautiful images and memories.
